SNIPERS support the CIBC Run for the Cure on Oct. 2, 2011
Despite the cool temperatures and damp weather, the team preserved and completed 5km run and walk at this years CIBC Run for the Cure! The kids were troopers!

Our team, Vaughan Azzurri Snipers Girls 2002, consisted of 18 members, 8 of which were Isabella, Emma, Andrea, Sarah, Natalie, Jeulia, Maia and my two littlest guys! The team raised $2915 in less than 3 weeks!

Unbelievable! We could not have done so without your contributions!

Whether through generous donations, support, or kind words we, Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! York region raised over $500,000 and over 30 million dollars was raised across Canada! The deadline to donate to the team was September 30th, however if we have inspired you and you would still like to donate you can do so on behalf of any of the participants at www.runforthecure.com by October 31st!

On behalf of the team, Vaughan Azzurri Girls Snipers 2002, we give you our sincere thanks and appreciation! We look forward to having the rest of you join us next year! I have attached a couple of group shots!

Previously written article:
Many of you are aware the CIBC Run for The Cure is taking place Sunday October 2, 2011 across Canada. The Vaughan Azzurri Snipers 2002 Girls team are showing their support by participating at this event. Another great way the Vaughan Soccer club teams contribute to and work with their community. The SNIPERS thought this would be a good opportunity for the girls and us parents to get involved in a wonderful and worthwhile community event while promoting team solidarity and increasing general fitness.

In order to register you will have to go onto the website www.runforthecure.com

1. Click on location and choose York Region
2. Click join a team
3. Follow the prompts.

We will receive an email as people register. If you will be seeking donations, online donations are the best way to go as it is easy and quick. Tax receipts will be generated within 30 minutes. Remember when soliciting donations it is important to provide the team name. Everyone who registers will recieve a T-Shirt, although I suggest the girls can wear their jerseys.

Those of you who will not be registering remember you can cheer us along on the route and especially at the finish line :)!
