The following is the OSA Rule regarding Competitive Coaches:

Policy 1.0 - COACH CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1.1 Each Team Head Coach and each Assistant Coach must be registered by their Club in the OSA's computerized registration system.
1.2 Each coach registered with her/his Club and assigned by that Club as the Team Head Coach or as an Assistant Coach to a team playing in one of the following senior leagues or cup competitions:
1. Senior Outdoor League Level 1 to Level 5
2. Senior Indoor League Level 1 to Level 5
3. Senior Futsal League Level 1 to Level 5
4. Ontario Cup Competition Senior Divisions - Outdoor, Indoor or Futsal
is required to have completed:
1. Respect in Soccer certification; and
2. Senior Level of the Community Coaching Program (giving her/him full certification as a Community Coach) by no later than September 1, 2011 or after that date, the Soccer For Life course plus MED (Making Ethical Decisions).
A Club Head Coach serving as a Team Official for a team in any of the above senior leagues or cup competitions shall be required to have completed the Respect in Soccer certification; and Senior Level of the Community Coaching Program (giving her/him full certification as a Community Coach) by no later than September 1, 2011 or after that date, the Soccer For Life course plus MED (Making Ethical
Decisions).
Therefore, ALL COMPETITIVE COACHES (Youth AND Senior) are required to complete their Respect In Soccer Certification.
As such, please advise all of your Senior Level Competitive Coaches that they must complete their Respect In Soccer certification prior to April 15th, 2012. They can complete the course online at the following link for a cost of $30:
